T. Michael Helton
Dr. Helton, a native of Murfreesboro, has practiced in the speciality of Family Medicine since 2000. Dr. Helton earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He completed his residency program at The Washington Hospital in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. Dr. Helton was honored to join the practice of Dr. T. Allen Polk in 2004.
Dr. Helton has held many leadership positions in the field of family medicine. Presently, Dr. Helton is serving on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians. He also has served for many years as the president of the Andrew Jackson Chapter of the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians. For the past 12 years he has also served as the Medical Director of Mayfield Rehab and Special Care Center in Smyrna, Tennessee.
Dr. Helton is pleased to offer his patients a comprehensive array of medical services. He continues to see his patients daily in the hospital including adult and pediatric patients. In the office setting, Dr. Helton treats all ages of patients, including newborns. He also is able to perform sports physicals. Additionally, he performs minor surgeries in his office including mole, cyst and wart removals.
Dr. Helton is very involved in his local church. He has a passion for medical missions, having already traveled to India, Africa and South America to serve. Dr. Helton and his wife Melissa have 4 wonderful daughters ranging from the ages of 11 years old to 21.
Angela Kelley, PA-C, MSM is a Physician Assistant specializing in Family Practice. She obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where she studied Biology and Spanish. She obtained her Masters of Science in Medicine at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville where she also held the office of the Assembly of Representatives student liaison for the state of Tennessee Physician Assistants. Angela has currently been a practicing Physician Assistant for ten years and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Most of Angela's professional career has been here in middle Tennessee as well as Tuscon, Arizona where she has practiced both Family and Industrial Medicine.
Angela's other professional interests include guest writing for eSpanglish magazine, serving as an instructor for Medical Terminology at Draughon's Junior College and teaching Spanish Medical Terminology classes to medical professionals. Her interests lie in treatment and prevention of serious illnesses such as Diabetes, Cardiac disease, and Women's Health.
In her personal time, Angela enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her husband and two basset hounds.
Debbie Foster was born in Nashville and has spent her entire life in Middle Tennessee. While researching a 7th grade class project, she felt a call to practice medicine and began to explore her career options. After high school she enrolled in the Physician Assistant program at Trevecca Nazarene University. She is board certified and has been practicing for 24 years. Other than a short time practicing in correctional medicine and psychiatry, she has spent her entire career in family practice.
She and her husband moved to Murfreesboro in 1994 and have enjoyed raising their two children in this family friendly community. In her free time she enjoys writing, reading, gardening, and sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee and a good friend. She also enjoys birdwatching, church activities, tennis with her daughter, baseball with her son, fishing and kayaking with her husband, and Friday night high school football games with lots of friends and neighbors.
Amy is a board-certified, advanced-practice Nurse Practitioner specializing in family and aesthetic medicine. A Middle Tennessee native and graduate of Vanderbilt University, she has been a nurse practitioner for 10 years and has served the Murfreesboro area for 8 years. Amy has a special interest in illness prevention through a healthy lifestyle as it applies to chronic conditions such as diabetes and hyperlipidemia. Her greatest enjoyment has been getting to know her patients and their families and following their growth and care over her years of practice. In addition to her medical practice, she also offers aesthetic services at our affiliate practice, Aesthetic Center of Murfreesboro.
Amy resides in Murfreesboro with her husband, Cary Hatcher. She is passionate about gardening and cooking and spends her personal time relaxing at the lake and visiting her family's farm.
Robert is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Robert received his undergraduate degree and Master's of Science in Nursing from Western Kentucky University. Robert has been in family practice for two years. Robert emphasizes preventative medicine and efficient disease management through patient education and risk factor modification. Robert grew up in a small town in Kentucky. Robert and his family have been residents of Murfreesboro for three years. In his free time Robert enjoys watching Kentucky Basketball, fishing and spending time with his wife and 3 year-old daughter
